When we needed help, we quickly learned how difficult it could be to find someone willing to work with dogs like them. Dogs who were fearful. Dogs who needed patience, training, socialization, understanding—and someone willing to see beyond their size, breed, or behavior.

Too often, it felt like people were afraid to even get within 50 feet of them.

So instead of accepting that there simply wasn't a place for dogs like ours, we decided to create one.

Cedar Creek Canine Rescue & Rehab was born from the belief that the dogs who are hardest to reach are often the ones who need us most.

Here, powerhouse breeds and misunderstood dogs will be given the time, training, structure, patience, and compassion they need. They won't be written off because they're scared, reactive, powerful, or difficult.

They'll be given a chance.

A chance to heal.
A chance to learn.
A chance to trust.
A chance to be understood.

And above all else, a place where they will be loved beyond reason.
